We made time beyond the business trip
My dad and I went to Louisville for Connex. Business was the reason for the trip, but we made a point not to spend the whole time doing business stuff.
We took time out of the day to see Louisville together. I am glad we did.
We made time for baseball
My dad and I are big Dodgers fans, so we went to the Louisville Slugger Museum and Factory. We toured the factory and walked through the museum together.
Inside, the visit became personal.
Their custom bats made it personal
Two of my best friends growing up were drafted. Their custom bats were there, and I got to hold them.
The bats belonged to two friends I had known since I was young, so getting to hold them made the visit personal.
We made room for the rest of Louisville, too
We also went to Churchill Downs, where the Kentucky Derby is held.
It was not the reason for the trip, but it was part of what made the trip great. We had a lot of good food and a great time together.
A great trip with my dad
We went to Louisville for business, but I am glad we took time out of the day to enjoy it.
