PROOF BEFORE PUBLISH A plain-English AI content checklist from Tim Yslava https://timyslava.com/insights/proof-before-publish-ai-content-system Use this before any AI-assisted article, email, post, presentation, or public claim. 1. PREPARE - What useful problem does this content solve? - What may AI safely draft, sort, simplify, or check? - Is the intended reader and destination clear? 2. CHECK - Are every name, date, quotation, number, link, and product claim correct? - What real source supports each important claim? - Have customer, employee, login, financial, and other private details been removed? - Are plans clearly labeled as plans instead of finished results? 3. APPROVE - Who owns the final decision? - Did that person check the lesson, evidence, privacy, destination, and next step? - Is the item accepted, changed, rejected, or held? 4. PUBLISH - What proves the work is actually live? - For a website: save the live URL and verify the canonical, author, links, crawlability, and sitemap. - For a platform: save the public link or platform post number. - Never call a local file, draft, calendar row, or intention “published.” 5. REVIEW - What happened after publication? - Check useful attention, saves, shares, replies, clicks, leads, conversions, and negative feedback. - Use a useful evidence window. Do not rebuild the strategy around one quiet day. - Record one supported change, its expected result, review date, and rollback condition. FINAL GATE If the facts, owner, destination, privacy, or publication proof are unclear, hold the item. Prepare the next safe piece of work while the blocker is fixed. Copyright 2026 Tim Yslava.
